And what do we really mean when we say the word climate change , we mean a long –term shift in temperatures and weather patterns. And these shift may be natural , such as through variations in the solar cycle. Since 1800s ,human activities have been the main driver of climate change , primarily due to burning fossil fuels like coal, oil and gas.

DEFORESTATION is the decrease in forest areas across the world that are lost for other uses such as agricultural urbanization and mining activities. Deforestation is a major cause of climate change , since people clear wide areas of the trees and thus leaving open areas or should I call it ‘desert’. This leads to soil erosion ,which has great effects on the environment especially loss of the fertile land thus leading to less or no food production at all. When all the soil is carried away from an area it’s vulnerable to floods, dust storms and water pollution which are all sources of health issues to human being and loses of lives from the floods.

And now it’s never our responsibility to plant a tress after cutting them down for no good reason or for whatever reason it might be. Forest is slowly dying from burning charcoal , mining, grazing ,agriculture. Tress plays a great role in the excetense of life and human beings and thus granting a clean oxygen , a healthy and cool environment and most importantly we depend on the forest for the rains but from the careless clearing of forests all this has gone away. For example most parts of Kenya and mostly north, over the year has experience tough times from the lack of rains for over a while from the effect of the global warming that’s hiting the world for quite decates of years .
HERE ARE SOME CAUSES OF DEFORESTATION
Industrial agriculture
Mining
Timber logging
Expansion and infrastructure
Wildfires
