Youths as the backbone of the economy

YOUTHS AS THE BACKBONE OF THE ECONOMY

Our country Kenya, has a relatively youthful population, who stand on the runway of economic take off if they find the correct formula to use their energy ,creativity and entrepreneurshipthat they have to offer. If the government invest directly or facilitates investmentin attaing , food security, building affordable homes ,acceleratin manufacturing and ensuring affordable healthcare, youths are in direct line to benefit from all those investments. Creating jobs through manufacturing will enable youths get something to depend on and when their decised to start families with a stable income their will need health care facilities , their will need an affordable housing for the families and this in one way or the other helps in building the economy.

We need to drop the culture and the mindset that if the young people get educated it will position them to getting well paying jobs, we need to help them understand that education is away to prepare them to create jobs by harbessing their creativity and start from a small start-up. Secondly there is need to teach the youth that what their call ‘talent’can be monetized and professionalized to make it profitable for them to engage in activities there are passionate about like sports , acting and music.

Youth creating economies

Young minds have the knowledge and the skills to create legal economies and navigate economies in ways the the older people thought not possible. They create, designing , producing, selling, marketinga and investing. Through this, the world can be changed in powerful ways by fostering dynamic, disruptive new ways.

Youth motivators

Instead of creating and spreading false hopes all over the social medial and televiosion young people can promote practical hopefulness to support youth action. Building youth\adults partnerships, as professional staff, serving as a mentor can all give youths stories to tell and lessons to share that can change the world.
